During the session, participants will get an opportunity to:
ā¢ Receive key information relating to the purposes, principles, and processes of the EYFS Profile assessment and moderation.
ā¢ Learn how to ensure that their assessments are comparable and consistent with national standards, as set out in the EYFS framework
ā¢ Gain opportunities to carry out standardisation and moderation tasks for the Early Learning Goals for Communication and Language, and Literacy with colleagues from other schools and settings.
ā¢ Learn how āCommunication and Languageā development impacts on the patterns of outcomes across the ELGs.
Reflect on the importance of profile assessment to inform parents about their child’s current levels of development and for an effective transition to Year One.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: For the session, you will have the opportunity to reflect on a child’s learning and development in relation to the ELGs for Communication and language, and Literacy.
